Feature Length: Happy Little Accidents
Logline: An art enthusiast who daylights as a mover finds himself evading a crime family when he unwittingly recognizes a stolen art piece while on a job.
Synopsis: Milo majored in art history and archaeology – unfortunately the degree hasn’t panned out yet. He’d love to own his own gallery, but until that day, he and his friend Craig work as movers for a white glove company, helping rich people pack up their art. One day on a job, he unwittingly identifies a stolen painting, and the owner kicks him and Craig out. That night a bullet rips through Milo’s window. When Craig knocks out the assailant and impersonates him on an incoming phone call, they discover that Milo is being targeted for his discovery from earlier. It’s when Milo and Craig take the gunman to the police that they’re asked to go undercover and gain information on one of the nation’s most powerful crime families, the Minashigos. All they have to do is survive the night and they’ll be rewarded $250,000 each – more than enough for Milo to fulfill his dream of opening his own gallery. But the Minashigos have their own plan…
Happy Little Accidents is fast-paced and funny, but unique in premise and its use of the art world. Its high-stakes, unique characters, and witty comedy would appeal to a wide audience, especially Millennials and Gen Zs ages 16-36.
